SamlesburyA small village in the South Ribble borough of Lancashire, Samlesbury is home of Boddingtons Bitter. The brewery owned by Inbev took 2 years to build starting in 1970. It brews lager for Whitbread and also Boddingtons Bitter. There is a large historic house in the village namely the Samlesbury Hall. Built back in 1325 it attracts around 50,000 visitors each year. There is also a disused airfield which is now owned by BAE Systems and is used to several aircraft types, the run away is used by the Lancashire constabulary amongst others for training when the weather permits. Huntleys Farm Shop also attracts many visitors each year due to them offering a huge range of Food Hall, Cosgrove's, Antiques & Collectable's, Stems Floral Designs, Barrica Wines and Fine Furniture.
