Garstang

11 miles south of Lancaster, Garstang has a popular of just over 4,000. Although it is a small town it has many attractions. Due to its location of being sandwiched between Lancaster and Preston it is not short of visitors. There is a traditional market held every Thursday which stretches the whole length of the town centre with a wide mixture of stalls offering a huge range of goods. Local Garstang residents are keen to support local & independent shops & products and many of these can be found at stalls at the Market Wednesday through to Saturday each week. Every May and August there are also festivals held with have a huge variety of acts, stalls and family entertainment. Each December also sees hundreds of people flock to the town to visit the annual Victorian Christmas Festival which gives people the chance to taste a traditional hog roast and pick up some last minute Christmas gifts.
