CrostonLocated between Chorley and Southport, Croston is a village next to the River Yarrow in Lancashire. The village itself is still very traditional with the village green still being used for the yearly May Day celebrations. The surrounding area of the village is very rural made up of fields and farm land, making it the ideal day out for ramblers and walkers. Much of the village is still made up of cobbled streets & walk ways keeping in line with the traditional and historic feel of the village. There is also some lovely walk ways and pubs situated next to the river making it the ideal setting for a nice summers afternoon which makes it very popular with families from the village and surrounding areas. |
